I feel very proud for some reason. I think this is a sign that I’m a genuine fan? Or care a little too much. Either way, V will be the first to debut as an actor from BTS.

As far as I know, no one else has had any formal acting roles. So this is pretty exciting.

However, I feel like it’s important to recognize that only Jin and Jhope have ever mentioned receiving any acting training. And that kind of disappoints me because I feel like V may being favoured for his looks. But again, V has shown a lot of promise in variety and MCing (but I feel he got the opportunity for being MC partially for his looks too).

I keep going back and forth on this though since Jin is considered the best looking/one of the best. Jhope aint too shaby either.

At the end of the day, I do feel like V has a lo of potential as an entertainer despite not having formal training. And it’s for a historical drama and in my head he seems to fit. I keep thinking a darker skin colour would suit a historical drama better.

I don’t have much experience with Kdramas, that has to be said. Every time I give them a shot, I cringe and retreat to variety and Kpop.

That said, I’m a huge fan of BTS and so far have enjoyed everything they’ve done so far in terms of music. So I definitely will check out this drama, maybe an episode or two is as far as I’ll get but I will give it a shot.

I don’t see myself liking the show more just because I’m a fan of V or BTS though. If anything, it’ll be so weird seeing him in a different setting; I may end up being more critical.

All said and done, I’m interested in seeing what comes out and I hope for the best. I’ll most likely write a revie of the episode if I’m going to sit through an hour of a drama. So look forward to that.
