Ep. 1 Paranormal Jailbreak-Schooler of Deadlock

Alright so Striffy told me to go ahead and check this anime out. I went ahead and tried the first episode (the only one out right now) with no idea what it was about. Let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised.

So it starts off with this guy just wreaking havoc, which is usually a good sign,  in what you eventually deduce to be the United States. Apparently he’s just a kid. I get the feeling these days all you have to do in Japan is throw on a uniform and they’ll think you’re a kid. i bet it’s easy for pedophiles to stroll into schools these days…anyway.

I don’t know about everyone else but he definitely doesn’t look like some high schooler to me..

Anyway, so basically allows himself to get captured which no one seems to suspect but he basically has it all planned out. So he stops running around playing games, you know, blowing things up and killing regular people and heads to a special facility that holds a bunch of ESPs.

There he meets this guy

and while watching the theme song I could tell he was a detective but for some reason he was in jail..obviously it was all a part of some plan to bring a stop to Hyobu (the white haired guy). The cool thing is that he’s an esper as well but sort of on the ‘good guy’ side.

The only thing that sort of bothered me was how they just had to add some innocent little girl in the middle. She’s obviously going to be someone really powerful/significant to Hyobu but I hope she isn’t completely useless (even if she’s a kid).

don't challenge her cuteness

There’s this scene when Hyobu gets all angry because of what they were experimenting on the little girl so gets all angry and does the catwalk.

yeah, that’s the first thing that came to mind

Anyway, i kidn of liked the crazy look in his eyes, psychos all the way!

Here are some other awesome looking pictures.
